This is a SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION NOTICE only for the purpose of Market Research. This posting is to help identify potential vendors and is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. This posting is NOT an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposals (RFP). Responders are advised that the Government will NOT pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this SOURCES SOUGHT; all costs associated with responding to this SOURCES SOUGHT will be solely at the interested party's expense. Description of work: Install a new system to include both fire alarm and mass notification functions, additional equipment, as related to voice annunciating features, will be required where the complement of these systems is larger than existing systems. Interconnection of fire alarm to the base Monaco system will be provided as well as connections to the base Whelen MNS. New area smoke detection, manual pull stations and other initiation systems are designed to provide compliant coverage for interior spaces of the building, according to UFC 4?740?14 and other applicable codes. Locations of these new devices will allow for them to be installed in locations so they do not impact existing systems. This will allow operation of fire alarm system in facility to remain active during installation and commissioning of new system. Text signs and other systems required for the facility will also be provided within the design. Notification device installation will be separated in to two zones; Preschool Wing and Toddler Wing to allow for separate notification within each wing based on the location and nature of the initiating device/event. Additional ancillary systems, such as roll down door operators and door hold devices, which are currently part of the system, will be re?integrated into the new fire alarm system where these systems can be tested and commissioned. Then, when the new system is in place, these connections will be connected to the new fire alarm devices. The existing Monaco transponder will remain in place throughout the new construction phase of the project and new unit will be provided and connected to the new fire alarm system. Once the new system is commissioned and operational, the old transponder unit and other related hardware equipment, such as the antenna, will be removed and turned over to 354 CES. LOC's and textual signs as part of MNS system will be provided at egress locations, horizontal travel paths as otherwise required by UFC 4?021?01.
