BACKGROUND: The combat alert cell (CAC) (bldg. 1300) at Eielson AFB, Alaska is a 25,126 SF facility. The CAC facility (bays 3 &4) is currently used as Fire Station 3, which is critical to providing emergency response capability to the South Loop of the airfield. The facility was not designed to be used as a firehouse, so it does not adequately accommodate their mission. As such it is in need of renovation. The building is sitting on known contaminated areas ST049 and TU077. This is a competitive selection process in which competing offerors’ qualifications will be evaluated in accordance with (IAW) FAR Subpart 36.6 to determine the most highly qualified firms. The Government intends to award one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price contract. RESPONSES: All responses to this synopsis must be submitted in accordance with Attachment 1 - Instruction to Offerors, Evaluation Factors no later than Monday, 24 May 2021 at 2:00 PM AKST.
