Notification of intent Sole Source – Reverse Osmosis System (RO) The 316th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland intends to award a simplified acquisition contract on a sole source basis to Getinge USA Sales, LLC, in accordance FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) “Only one responsible source is capable of responding”. Getinge USA, is the only manufacturer and authorized distributor that can provide the requested items: RO System to include the following MRG 1200-AB, RO Water Treatment System - MP405, 1200 GPD, 115V, FT, w/ Auto Bypass, polyphosphate feeder w/ filter, final connections and Installation of the RO SRB/MRG to interface with the rest of the sterilization system. The items procured are the most compatible with the existing equipment being used within the clinic, and are proprietary technology. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339114 “Dental Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing” with a size standard of 750 Employees. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose if determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in preparation of any capabilities statements or documents prepared for this notice.
