The purpose of this award is to purchase the ACP Synchrony Dysphagia Solution device. This device will be used by the 59th Medical Wing at JBSA Lackland - San Antonio to allow the Speech Language Pathologists and patients to be able to visually see the patients swallow via Virtual Reality sEMG feedback and allow for enhanced motivation and exercise performance.

Seeking sources to guage interest in providing a particular treatment ystem that will replace the Kay Pentax Digital Swallow Station, which has become outdated, unreliable, and due for replacement. Equipment must be safe, non-invasive and medication-free treatment. Treatment protocols must be effective and integrate technology and evidence-based practices. Must include virtual reality assisted sEMG biofeedback to enable SLPs and patients to visualize swallow activity while providing visual and auditory feedback to facilitate swallow behavioral changes.
