Sources Sought For E-3 AIC-28 (Intent to Purchase on Sole-Source Basis) FROM: Andrew Adams 407 SCMS/GUBA TO: DLA/ABW LOCATION: Robins AFB, GA 31098-1813 FBO Post Title: Intent to sole-source purchase of E-3 AIC-28 NSN P/N Noun 5996-01-600-0981 255-402 AIC-28 Public Address Amplifiers SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and manufacture of the E-3 AIC-28 Public Address Amplifier. ITEM DESCRIPTION This requirement is for the AIC-28 Public Address Amplifier on the E-3 E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). This is part of the advanced communication systems, enabling secure and reliable communication with other aircraft, ground stations, and command centers. Impediment to Competition: The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Astronics, which was developed specifically for the E-3’s mission and operational requirements. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. INTEREST The DLA/ABW Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Astronics for the manufacture of the AIC-28 Public Address Amplifier in support of the E-3 Avionics Program. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 16 Feb 2025 to Andrew Adams via email (andrew.adams.13@us.af.mil) or April Walls april.walls@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
