I: 12, Order Per. II: 2, Order Per. III: 3, Order Per. IV: 1, Order Per. V: 1 ITEM DESCRIPTION The hydraulic solenoid valve is a three-way, two-position pilot operated valve. When used in the fire suppression system (FSS) it powers the hydraulic override on the secondary climb valve of the vent valve assembly. Impediment to Competition: The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Parker Hannifin Corporation, which was developed specifically for C-5’s mission and operational requirements. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Parker Hannifin is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the CP performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment. INTEREST The DLA Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Parker Hannifin Corporation for the manufacture of the Valve, linear, direct in support of the C-5 Mechanical Program. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 28 June 2023 to Todd Stimus via email (Todd.Stimus@us.af.mil). The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
