It displays threat signals to pilot on a priority basis and provides efficient and effective logistical support to the using command activities for the system. The DFR Receiver, LRU-4, NSN 5865-01-381-2974EW is used on F-16/C-130J Aircraft and it receives RF signals from a RF broadband antenna covering a 90-degree quadrant of the RF spectrum, relative to the aircraft heading. The received signals are processed in a manner such that the direction of threats can be determined. The A4 DF Interface Circuit Card Assembly, NSN 5998-01-381-1856EW receives RF signals from a RF broadband antenna covering a 90-degree quadrant of the RF spectrum, relative to the aircraft heading. The received signals are processed in the DR interface printed circuit board. The A4 CCA Group Statement Processor is an SRU on LRU-5 Analysis Processor on the ALR-56M. The Super-Het Control Receiver is the LRU-6 on the ALR-56M, NSN 5865-01-495-1126EW. It provides signal acquirement and characterization to Analysis Processor to determine the threat environment surrounding the aircraft. The 6A10, Channelizer Module, divides and routs and filters IF signals within the SHC of the ALR-56M RWR system. The CCA RF A/D Converter, NSN 5998-01-434-2685EW is the 6A10A2 on the ALR-56M. The Super-Het Receiver, NSN 5865-01-324-7734EW is LRU-7 on the ALR-56M Radar Warning Receiver used on F-16/C-130J aircraft; it converts baseband RF signals, low band RF signals to IF and phases the signals for threat determination. The CDR Receiver, NSN 5865-01-591-9809EW is LRU-10 on the ALR-56M Radar Warning Receiver on F-16/C-130J Aircraft; the CDR/PS receives RF signals from the low band antenna and processes these signals in a manner that the directions of the low band threats can be determined. Impediment to Competition: The Government does not possess the data or facilities required for accomplishment of this requirement by another vendor. BAE Systems, Cage Code 81413, is the only known source for NSNs 5865-01-381-2974EW, 5998-01-381-1856EW, 5998-01-361-9961EW, 5865-01-495-1126EW, 5865-01-382-7270EW, 5998-01-434-2685EW, 5865-01-324-7734EW, and 5865-01-591-9809EW. BAE Systems acquires the data, skills, and equipment necessary to successfully provide the services required by the Government for these highly specialized items. The government does not possess the detailed engineering information that would enable a new vendor to successfully develop a production and testing methodology for these items. The fact that the Government does not possess a full data package precludes a full and open competition for the production of items. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to the vendor discussed above for the manufacture of ALR-56M replenishment spares. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability in producing any of the NSNs listed above.
