The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Synopsis to identify potential sources for spares procurement of a T-38 aircraft turbine component (NSN 1660-00-798-3210, P/N 552115). The requirement involves new manufacture and may include component procurement, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, shipping, supply chain management, logistics planning, production forecasting, long-lead parts procurement, diminishing manufacturing sources management, and shipping of serviceable assets. Potential sources may also be responsible for nonrecurring engineering costs to become an approved source. The estimated spares requirement is 106 EA, with performance at Tinker AFB, OK 73145. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal, and the government may consider breaking out the requirement by airframe and may determine whether it can be competitive or a small business set-aside.
