The Air Force is conducting market research via a sources sought synopsis to identify sources capable of new manufacture of a KC-135 fairing/kneecap part (NSN 1560-01-148-0538FL, P/N 65C18233-602), with an estimated spares requirement of up to 420 each; this is a new spares buy with no repair requirement. Interested parties must register as interested vendors, and there is no solicitation available at this time. Potential sources must be able to furnish labor, materials, facilities, and equipment for manufacturing, inspection, testing, packaging, and shipping, and may also handle supply chain management and nonrecurring engineering costs. The government is interested in all business types, including small and various socio-economic categories, and may consider breaking the requirement out by airframe. Performance would be at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma.
