The Air Force is conducting market research via a Sources Sought notice to identify potential sources for the new manufacture of a C-130 cylinder assembly (NSN 1650-01-598-7365, P/N 4U4059), with an estimated spares requirement of three units. This is a new spares buy and does not include a repair requirement. Interested parties must be capable of supplying all labor, materials, facilities, and equipment for manufacturing, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping, and may incur nonrecurring engineering costs to become an approved source. The government is seeking interest from all business types, including small and disadvantaged businesses, and may consider breaking out the requirement by airframe or setting it aside for small business. Performance would be at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma; no solicitation is currently available, and no contract will be awarded based solely on this market research.
