**THIS PRE-SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED FOR 15 DAYS WITH THE SOLICITATION TO FOLLOW** The Government intends to issue a sole source (Raytheon Technologies Corporation, CAGE 77445, 52661) solicitation on or about 28 October 2022 with an estimated close date of 28 November 2022 for the spares buy (supply) of the F100-PW-220 Remote Control Lever. The requirement is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price contract with a range quantity. This notice of intent does not in itself represent the issuing of a formal request for proposal and is not intended to be taken as such. The requirements set forth in this notice are defined per USAF PR FD2030-23-00201 as follows: 1) This acquisition is for the spares buy (supply) of the Remote Control Lever. 2) List of applicable CLINs: CLIN 0001: Supply of NSN(s): 3040012677735NZ P/N: 4067419 Noun: Remote Control Lever Application: F100-PW-220 Engine Item description and function: 6.3 inches long X 5.3 inches wide X 10.5 inches high, weighing 1.5 lbs., and composed of aluminum. This lever provides for manipulation of an internal component used for accommodating movement between compressor case and outer fan duct. This is a CRITICAL SAFETY ITEM (CSI). Range Quantity: 25 EA 98 EA 147 EA 3) Required delivery: Delivery for CLIN 0001 is required on or before 13 Sep 2024 4) The rights to use the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources are not owned by the United States Air Force and cannot be purchased, developed or otherwise obtained. Only one qualified source is known, therefore this requirement will be solicited as sole source to Raytheon, per the sole source authority at FAR 6.302-1. OMBUDSMAN (AUG 2005) (An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.) The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
