NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. 1.1 The Government is performing market research on potential sources of manufacturing for the following item(s): Contract Type: Supply Pricing Arrangement: Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) End Item: B-2 Landing Gear Noun: Valve, Regulation, FL NSN: 4810013781340LE P/N: DAA3222P501-243 or 6005312-1 1.2 This notification is for market research purposes to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, knowledge and ability to obtain access to the proprietary data to manufacture this item. This notice does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished. This is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. 1.3 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive. 1.4 The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336413 which has a corresponding size standard of 1,250 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. 1.5 The Government is interested in all small or large business concerns. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your business status to the identified NAICS Code. 1.6 The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and include information that demonstrates you possess or have the ability to obtain rights to the proprietary data required to manufacture this item. 2. PROGRAM DETAILS: The Government anticipates issuing a new Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) sole source contract to Meggitt Aircraft Braking System (Cage Code 0B9R9). The Government does not own the rights to the data for the B-2 valve, Regulating, FL. Suppliers will need to have or obtain the technical data and drawings from the original equipment manufacturer, The Boeing Company (Cage Code 81205) and/or Meggitt Aircraft Braking System (Cage Code 0B9R9). Attempts to reverse-engineer this part has been deemed not plausible or economically reasonable.
