This is a Sources Sought, not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Invitations for Bid (IFB). Project scope includes modification of the existing facility architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems as required to support the F-35A Airframe. The proposed project includes, but is not limited to, the installation of a new split system air conditioning unit to provide cooling to the existing Corrosion Control Maintenance Bay; the extension of the existing equipment platform/mezzanine in Stripping Room as required to accommodate the new interior air handler for the Corrosion Control Maintenance Bay; the installation of new air compressors, extension of compressed air lines, and relocation of air drops in maintenance bays to meet F-35 aircraft/shop air requirements; the installation of new breathing air system to support fuel tank maintenance activities; the installation of new 270 VDC electrical converters, 480V AC receptacles, and other power devices required to support F-35 maintenance activities; the replacement of existing facility transformer and main switchgear to support increases power requirements associated with the F-35 electrical requirements; minor site demolition and repair to accommodate electrical upgrades and install an intrusion Detection System (IDS), Access Controls, and CCTV compatible with existing IDS.
