This Statement of Work (SoW) defines requirements for the completion of project to replace two 12,470v to 480v transformers and install a 200A panelboard located in Building 27497 on Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB). Replace the two current transformers like for like and associated equipment and wiring as necessary to reconnect to and from existing equipment and power.The two transformers are in building 27497. The first transformer is for stepping up power from 500KW generator feeders from 480 VAC to 12470 VAC to power buildings 27496, 27494, and 27497. The second transformer is for stepping down 12470 VAC to 480 VAC to power buildings 27497, 27492, 29081, 29082, and 29083. The transformers are outdated and are from original construction of building. The two transformers are in building 27497. The U.S. Air Force, Kirtland AFB, will be issuing Invitation for Bids for the Replace Two 12, 470V to 480V Transformers, requirement. This procurement is a total small business set aside utilizing the NAICS 238210 with a size standard of $19M. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 to $1,000,000 and the estimated time for completion is 697 days. A site visit will be scheduled for this project and it is HIGHLY encouraged that interested parties attend. Please see the attached Statement of Work for more details. This is not an invitation for bids at this time. The solicitation requirements and contract documents to include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about June 8th, 2024. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to view the solicitation offerors must access the System of Award Management website (www.sam.gov).
