The Air Force Test Center/USAF Test Pilot School at Edwards AFB, CA is conducting market research, not a request for proposals, for on-call contractor maintenance and aircraft ground handling support for three stored A-29 aircraft. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, supervision, tools, replacement parts, travel, and incidental support for as-needed tasks such as fuel leak repair/mitigation, tire repair/replacement, ground towing/repositioning, and related minor maintenance to place aircraft in safe storage or towable condition. Work excludes depot-level overhaul, return-to-flight maintenance, airworthiness release, engineering disposition beyond field-level repair judgment, and unauthorized modifications. The period of performance is three years (one base year plus two option years), with services performed on an on-call, as-needed basis. The government anticipates releasing an RFP in the first quarter of FY2027, and responses will help determine whether a Small Business set-aside is appropriate.
