Combined Synopsis/Solicitation – F1S0AY3230A001 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and an additional written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). All responsible sources may submit a firm-fixed price (FFP) quote which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Supplements, Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-04, AFAC 2021-0726 and DFARs Change Notice (DPN) 20230720. NAICS is 334290. This is a commercial acquisition is for full and open competition. The Air Force Test Center (AFTC) located at Edwards Air Force Base, CA is soliciting for Brand Name DTS or Equal, transmitter that will provide the form, fit and function needed by the 52H Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) at Edwards AFB, CA. Glenair connectors are highly specialized hermetically sealed and gas filled components which will add airframe bulkhead feed-through capability via connectors and additional system wiring to the bomber aircraft at Edwards AFB, CA. The connectors will support the B-52H Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) and available for all future weapon test capabilities. In order to meet the design mission requirements of the 419th B-52H CERP test program and to support numerous weapon test missions for the B-52 platform at Edwards AFB, the 419FLTS team require specialized Bulkhead Feed-Through connectors. This acquisition supports the final design aircraft installation for the modification of electrical and signal wiring to support upcoming weapon system test missions. The technical data and specifications for the connectors and wiring were designed by 412 TW/TENG Instrumentation Engineering with the connector specifications proprietary to the Glenair company. To redirect to a different source would require: (1) new designs/drawings, (2) rewiring of the aircraft and (3) reconfiguration of aircraft as well as additional expensive qualification testing in the display units for shock, vibration, explosive environment and electromagnetic compatibility/electromagnetic interference, (EMC/EMI). Connectors must meet the following criteria: - Low?Density circular connectors ideally suited for applications that require power and signal contacts in a glass sealed hermetic package. - Glass insulators fused to the connector shell, and contacts meeting a minimal Leak Rate 1 X 10?7 CC/Helium per second. - Since feed-through connectors penetrate pressurized crew cabin areas, they must be hermetically sealed to avoid loss of pressure and avoid hazardous environment for air crew members.
