The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research for brand-new, OEM-certified replacement parts and specialized factory calibration/diagnostic services for next-generation Anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATDs/manikins), with a potential sole-source award to Humanetics Innovative Solutions, Inc. It seeks to identify qualified businesses or non-OEM suppliers with proprietary design rights, technical data, certifications, and capabilities, or commercial/non-developmental alternatives, to meet the requirement. In-scope work includes precision JPATS Case-1 LOIS and Case-6 LARD structural, skeletal, flesh, joint, harness, mounting, and connection hardware, plus calibration/diagnostic repair and traceable certification for Slice 6 DAS systems, angular rate sensors, linear accelerometers, multi-axis load cells, and head/neck biofidelic certifications. Calibration services must be completed and tendered for return shipment within 30 calendar days of receipt at the contractor facility, and part delivery periods will be negotiated at the order level. Ordering is expected through designated Air Force and Navy points of contact and GPC mechanisms without surcharges, and interested parties should submit capability statements covering business information, technical compatibility, instrumentation/calibration facilities, supply chain, and commerciality.
