The government is seeking a contractor for a commercial service to perform a comprehensive engineering assessment of nineteen high-pressure gaseous nitrogen storage vessels, known as the "Bottle Field," at the AEDC Hypervelocity Wind Tunnel 9 in White Oak, Maryland. The objective is to determine the optimal and continued safe operating condition of the facility. The contractor will execute a multi-phased assessment covering data collection, Non-Destructive Examination plan development and on-site execution, Finite Element Analysis, and a Minimum Design Metal Temperature evaluation. All engineering analysis must follow API 579 / ASME FFS-1 standards for pressure vessels operating at or above 10,000 psig. The government reserves the right to reject offers, not award, or cancel the solicitation.
