AFTC/PZIA located at Arnold AFB, TN intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source, Anton Paar (CAGE: 9EKU2), a small business vendor under NAICS code 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, to award a new, firm-fixed priced purchase order to meet the Government's requirement for a Density Meter meeting the specifications outlined in Attachment 1 - Density Meter Specification.pdf. The authority at FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) permitting other than full and open competition is being applied to meet the subject requirement, as use of Simplified Acquisition Procedures IAW FAR Part 13 is being employed, the estimated value of the purchase does not exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), and the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government will consider all responses received electronically by 1:00 PM CDT on 24 October 2024. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information received may only be considered to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions and comments should be addressed to Ms. Virginia L.
