AFTC/PZI (Arnold) at Arnold AFB, TN intends to award a single source, firm fixed price contract as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to Kulite Semiconductor Products, Inc. for pressure transducers. The Government has a need for a quantity of twenty-two (22) high temperature miniature transducers with the B screen variant and a full scale pressure range of 25 PSIA, a quantity of two (2) miniature high temperature transducers with the B screen variant and a full scale pressure range of 12 PSIA, and a quantity of four (4) miniature high temperature transducers with the B screen variant with a full scale pressure range of 5 PSIA. FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) states for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Kulite Semiconductor Products, Inc. is the only vendor known to make wind tunnel pressure transducers with the required specifications. Market research indicated there are no resellers for the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responses received electronically by 12:00 PM Central Time, 23 February 2024 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received may only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
