This procurement is for a new Model and Support Assembly Platform (MSAP) and As... Amendment 01: The purpose of amendment 01 is to incorpoated the Q&A. Please see the attachment 06 Questions and Answers. This procurement is for a new Model and Support Assembly Platform (MSAP) and Assembly Transfer Cart (ATC) at Arnold Engineering Development Complex’s (AEDC) Hypervelocity Wind Tunnel No. 9 Facility located in White Oak, MD. The MSAP will be used to assemble, align, instrument, and validate the model (test article) and its attachment to the model support assembly (sting). The MSAP will be permanently installed in the Model Assembly Lab (MAL) located in a different building from the Tunnel 9 wind tunnel, and subsequent transportation of assembled models and model support hardware to the wind tunnel for final installation will be accomplished via the ATC. The contractor shall design, fabricate, and install the MSAP & ATC per the requirements in the Model and Support Assembly Platform and Transfer Cart Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor shall also provide engineering drawings and stress reports that prove the design meets the required Factors of Safety per the requirements in the Model and Support Assembly Platform and Transfer Cart SOW.
