Arnold AFB, TN and the Test and Communications Branch (TSDI) have a Brand Name Only (BNO) requirement to build a Packet and Optical Transport Network (OTN) architecture for a quantity of four key interconnected sites. The architecture is critical to the high-speed data transport of Test Mission Command & Control, voice, video, telemetry, and security data that directly supports current base operations missions and future initiatives. The Arnold AFB CIENA architecture will interface with and share data between AFTC Edwards AFB and Eglin AFB utilizing brand-name CIENA hardware and software to meet the AFTC digital transformation objectives of transferring large volumes of test related data.
