To fulfill an operational capability to calibrate existing and new, lower uncertainty, arc heater heat flux measurement probe designs at relevant hypersonic operating conditions, a Laser System with a wavelength that can be absorbed efficiently by copper and that has a high enough power to closely simulate heat flux similar to hypersonic flight conditions is required. This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine the availability and technical capability of small and large businesses to meet the Government’s requirement for a Laser System IAW Attachment 1 – DRAFT Technical Requirements. Delivery is required at Arnold AFB.
