Amendment 4: The purpose of this amendment is to add the Site Visit Question and Answers. Amendment 3: The purpose of this amendment is to extend the proposal due date to January 11, 2021, to allow for additional time to adequately answer all of the site visit questions, in addition to, allowing photographs to gain approval for posting. Amendment 2: The purpose of this amendment is to inform vendors that a site visit will be held 12/10/2020, 10am CST. This is to inform your company that the project team plans to conduct the site visit on 12/10/2020, 10am CST. If you plan to attend, please submit the representative’s name(s) along with the name of the company to greggory.jones.4@us.af.mil & christie.coppeans.1@us.af.mil before 7 December 2020, 12pm CST. All vendors attending the site visit should arrive at the AEDC Visitors Center 30-45 minutes ahead of schedule in order to obtain an AEDC Visitor Badge, 1110 Von Karmen Rd, Arnold Air Force Base, TN 37389. This will require a valid state issued ID and a DBIDS screening at the AEDC Visitors Center. Masks are required to be worn on base and social distancing is in full force. Work Requirements The work consists of providing all labor, material, equipment and field verification required to demolish existing manually operated hoist and trolley system and provide new powered hoist and trolley system, and add power for the existing bridge. The existing crane is a 10 ton Conco crane, serial number 4980. The new hoist and trolley shall be a 10 ton rated capacity indoor overhead crane with an underhung trolley Class D, Crane 20-161 in Building 607. The work includes installation of the power for the bridge and installing a new powered underhung trolley and hoist. Crane installation work is to be done at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. A. The crane shall be operated by a remote control system with a back-up pendant push button station. B. It is recommended that the Contractor make sufficient site visits to gather all information required to provide the design and equipment required to install the new crane. C. Existing structure shall be assumed to be coated with lead-containing paint.
