The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials and perform all work required to replace the exterior sewer lateral piping on the northwest side of Building 106, Rome Research Site. This acquisition includes but is not limited to these principal features: Replace approximately 50 feet of existing collapsed sewer lateral on northwest corner of Building 106. Investigation of the collapsed sewer lateral pipe has already been completed via snake by a contractor. Excavate to the existing sewer lateral piping and remove the collapsed piping. Ensure sloping of trench meets safety standards, then install aggregate bedding for new piping to be installed Install new PVC fittings and PVC pipe to Building 106, connecting to the city main sewer line. Test new piping for any leaks and appropriate functional ability. Fill excavated trench area with uncontaminated soil and properly compact all material. Seed the top layer of soil for grass to regrow. Work will be performed in accordance with the Specifications dated 08 April 2021, and Drawings, dated 26 May 2021 (Attachment 1 and Attachment 2, respectively). This acquisition will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside IAW FAR 19.5. The applicable NAICS code is 238910 with an associated small business size standard of $15,000,000 average annual revenue. The estimated magnitude of construction is less than $25,000.00.. Bidders must provide payment and performance bonding in the amount of its bid. A Bid guarantee in the amount of 20% of the bid amount will be required to accompany all bids. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be posted online at http://beta.sam.gov under the reference number FA875121B0008 on or about 12 July 2021. Bids will be due approximately 30 days later. A site visit will be conducted within 10 days after issuance of the IFB. The date will be finalized when the IFB is posted. The IFB documents will only be available electronically. Potential bidders will be responsible for downloading the IFB documents and for monitoring the website for possible amendments and any additional information.
