The Force Protection Branch is soliciting your input. If your product is already on the Force Protection Security Systems CMD List, you do not need to respond to this RFI. AFLCMC/HBU plans to select and qualify commercially available Door Positioning Indicator to add to the Air Force’s CMD Equipment List in support of fixed site security system installations. The planned acquisition will include the procurement of the COTS item as well technical manuals and supporting services through the Government qualification testing phases. The Door Position Indicator shall be used in conjunction with a series of sensors to detect intrusions into a secure area. The sensor shall consist of a Magnet or Sensor Assembly and Actuating Assembly with a resting gap between respective assemblies of at least ¾ in (Threshold) and as great as 2 inches (Objective). The sensor shall report whenever a movable barrier (e.g., door, window, roof hatch) is opened to an area which is secured, specifically the sensor shall accommodate applications with large rolling/hanging doors. The sensor is mounted so that movement of the barrier/door prompts an alarm condition with accompanying electrical response. The sensor shall be able to provide alarm before reaching 1 ¼ in variation from resting position. The sensor will indicate an alarm condition to the installation Command, Control, Display Equipment (CCDE) using dry contact.
