The Air Force Packaging Technology and Engineering Facility (AFPTEF) has engineering authority for reusable, long-term shipping and storage containers designed for various Project Cobra assets. The containers will provide physical and environmental protection during worldwide transportation and storage for the various assets. The current requirement is for CNU-766/E and CNU-776/E are both aluminum, long-life, controlled breathing, reusable shipping and storage containers. This solicitation is expected to result in the award of a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the aluminum shipping and storage containers as described in the attached Statement of Work. The projected period of performance shall be March 2022 to March 2025. The anticipated contract will include one 12-month base period with two 12-month option periods. Quantities, delivery schedules and destinations for all three (3) years are included in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation ; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-04 This will be a Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 332439. See Statement of Work and related attachments to this solicitation for a more detailed description including quantities, delivery schedule, and delivery address. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
