The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Transformational Capabilities Office (TCO), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, is conducting market research to identify potential sources to provide Green Propulsion solutions that can achieve increased efficiency, increased reliability, and decreased maintenance needs within a compressed timeframe. Due to prior research indicating fundamental advantages of the technology and a desire to improve industrial base capability in this area, only combustion turbine driven solutions are of interest for the purpose of this RFI. At technology conclusion, this system would be demonstrated with current air or ground capabilities. Contract performance will be primarily in support of the TCO located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH but may include support to activities relevant for demonstration and testing.
