The primary objective of this program is to expand an existing DC microgrid at Kirtland AFB to provide enhanced capability to the Kirtland AFB mission set and to perform research and development (R&D) to better understand how DC microgrids can benefit the Air Force and DoD. Specifically, the Air Force is interested in enhanced energy resiliency at Kirtland AFB.
