The Rapid Dragon Program is a fast-paced palletized effects prototyping effort led by the Air Force Strategic Development Planning and Experimentation (SDPE) Office. The team developed a palletized deployment system prototype, which demonstrated the ability to employ munitions using cargo airdrop aircraft. The program also proved the palletized deployment system is aircraft agnostic and that an unconventional employment method (nose down with virtually zero forward airspeed) is feasible using existing/legacy long range cruise missiles. The program is broadening to include non-kinetic effects to be delivered via low cost, expendable air vehicles. The purpose of this RFI is to collect information on long-range delivery vehicles which could be employed for various effects (kinetic or non-kinetic), and available within the next 12 months for powered flight tests. Please refer to the attachment for additional details regarding the RFI. Submissions and any questions should be directed towards Dean Evans at dean.evans@us.af.mil.
