This posting notifies all contractors through synopsis of the governmetns intent to award a sole source contract to Textron Aviation Defense for training on the following items: · HMP-400 Gun System Specialist Training (6 Students) · ROVER Ground Terminal Operator Training (8 Students) · AT-6 Generalist Maintainer Training to include training on EO/IR sensor, CMDL, and Rover (18 Students) · In addition, one (1) component, the “CMDL2x” requires installation hardware kits which are only available from the AT-6 Aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Textron Aviation Defense. This posting has previously been synopsized on SAM.GOV however due to slight changes in the requirement and J&A this constitutes are reposting. The attached J&A documents specifically and in detail why the USG has concluded that Textron Aviation Defense is the only contractor capable of performing this training. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the government plans to add this training to existing contract FA8637-23-C-0001.
