This purpose of this posting is to publicly synopsize the attached sole source justification document. This document, which utilizes the power permited in FAR 6.302-1 (only one capable source) adds the ability for the USAF to procure sustainment support services for its A-29 fleet to the currently existing IDIQ contract with Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC). SNC will provide all A-29 sustainment related requirements to include, but not limited to, Aircraft Modification, Ferrying of Aircraft, Base Activation, Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), Interim Contractor Support (ICS), and sustainment related equipment for the A-29 aircraft in the latest configuration.This J&A will add support for the sustainment of USAF A-29s under the existing A-29 Foreign Military Sales IDIQ contract. Please see the attached J&A for details including a full breakdown on why SNC is the only capable source for this effort which resulted in Task Order FA8637-22-F-0002.
