The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Special Warfare Program Office is seeking sources for a Next Generation Operational Control System (NGOCS) to fill a capability gap for a lightweight, ruggedized, modular body-worn power, data, and edge-compute architecture that provides distributed processing beyond the End User Device for concurrent high-demand tactical workloads. Current fielded systems rely on aging architecture, proprietary cabling, and limited edge processing, forcing the EUD to handle applications, edge-server hosting, message routing, video data links, and peripheral management, which can create latency, power depletion, and reliability bottlenecks in combat. Interested respondents should demonstrate present technology and qualifications and provide company data, socioeconomic/small-business status and ownership, prime/subcontractor interest, ROM and development cost estimates for planning, existing contract/commercial availability, Buy American/Berry compliance, risks, and subcontracting/limitations compliance, along with Attachments 1 and 2. Responses are limited to 35 pages, may include technical text and illustrations, must mark proprietary data, and may be submitted by U.S. or non-U.S. firms; SAM registration is required for DOD award.
