This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS)/RFI is issued for informational purposes and market research only; it does not constitute a solicitation. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparing/submitting information in response to this posting. The information provided may be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and/or performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response as instructed later in this posting. The USAF Life Cycle Management Center, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Tactical Air Control Party Modernization (TACP-M) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of enabling TACP Core Computers with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Dual Data at Rest (DAR) capabilities. Currently, TACP Core Computers that have accessed classified networks retain a classified status, creating logistical and operational security concerns during travel and field operations. This modification will allow these computers to ensure classified Data at Rest is properly sanitized, enabling the computers to be considered unclassified when powered off or logged out, mitigating these risks and enhancing operational security. This will be achieved through a minimum hardware update to the hard drives (to support full disk encryption) and a software update. Please see attachment for instructions on responding to this Request for Information.
