The current equipment utilized to provide single man life support is derived from the current generation of the ML-4 aircrew life raft. GA forces plan to utilize this raft as part of their emergency support equipment during recovery missions. Thus the employment of recovery teams into austere environments requires appropriate recovery team equipment rather than emergency survival equipment.
