Guardian Angel (GA) forces are tasked to support operations in large bodies of open water to include oceans. The Multi-Man Life Raft will be airdropped with other mission equipment during deliberate rescue operations. It will be used as a casualty collection point for the treatment of patients, protection from the elements, and towed behind small maritime craft as well as carried by individual operators while conducting deliberate parachute operations into the maritime environment. Airdrop operations can occur in various weather environments, and most geographic locations where military and civil maritime vessels operate, aircraft emergency egress ejections/bailouts could occur, and Human Space Flight response could be required.
