USAF F-16 Next-Generation Mission Compute (NGMC) Upgrade for Combat Capabilities for F-16, Blocks 40/42/50/52
The U.S. Air Force is seeking sources to design, develop, and integrate a Next-Generation Mission Compute (NGMC) upgrade for F-16 Blocks 40/42/50/52, focusing on increased reliability and processing performance. Performance of services may occur at Hill AFB, UT, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, and/or contractor facilities. The upgrade must be a form, fit, and function replacement for the legacy Modular Mission Computer, utilizing a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) and Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) standards. The government prefers Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware and seeks to break vendor lock, with a key goal of physically separating safety-critical and mission-critical compute resources. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) are due by 1700ET on 29 June 2026.
