The Contractor shall furnish Blood Components and Reference Lab Transfusion Testing Services to support patient care at the 88 MDG. Critical Performance Requirements: -Blood product and reference transfusion testing are time dependent and MUST have immediate response and/or expedience to treat critical patients. In addition, facility must operate 24/7. -Rapid shipment of additional blood products when the current in-house inventory is insufficient to support a critical patient; ability to fulfill "STAT" orders. -24/7reference laboratory test reporting for patients anticipating transfusion or medical treatment. -Licensed by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and follow AABB standards. -Contractor must notify 88 MDG Transfusion Services of all unexpected/abnormal tests from blood products supplied by them. -Contractor will provide look-back notifications to the 88 MDG as required by 21 CFR 610.48 (b) A3): (a) within three (3) calender days if blood collected from a donor who tested negative at the time of donation but test reactive for evidence of HIV of HCV infection on a later donation or is determined to be at increased risk for transmitting HIV or HCV infection.
