The Air Force Petroleum laboratory has a requirement for a fully automated potentiometric titration system designed for determining the total acid number (TAN) of lubricating oils and hydraulic fluids in both new and used/stressed condition. The instrument will be used to test TAN of lubricating oil and hydraulic fluid samples in accordance with ASTM D664-18e2 Test Method A. These analyses will be performed at the Air Force Petroleum Agency’s Aerospace Fuels Laboratories at Wright Patterson AFB, OH for the purposes of Government Lot Acceptance Testing, Shelf-Life Extension Testing, product Qualification testing to meet military specifications, testing to support Safety Investigation Board requests, and other special request testing to support mission needs of the DoD.
