This synopsis is to announce that AFLCMC/WNKE, located at Robins AFB, GA, intends to solicit and negotiate, on a sole source basis, a modification to the basic contract FA8576-19-D-0001 for production and sustainment of the Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System (EGI) program for the Air Force and FMS customers. The production and sustainment contract will provide EGI production units, contractor depot repair (CDR), integration, modernization (EGI program-directed retrofit/upgrades, Diminishing Manufacturing Source monitoring and upgrades, and service life deficiencies), technical support, travel, operational flight program (OFP) upgrades and test, host platform integration support, all associated data documentation, engineering studies, and warranty support. The Government intends to solicit Northrop Grumman Guidance and Electronics Company, Inc. 21240 Burbank Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91367 for the requirements described herein. CAGE code 06481. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The Government does not own or possess rights to reprocurement data to facilitate competitive procurement of the sustainment services from any other source. The contract is anticipated to be awarded as an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type instrument with provisions for Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, and Cost Reimbursable-No-Fee. The approximate award date is Sept. 2025. A solicitation, number FA8576-25-R-0001, will be issued on or about 25 Feb. 2025. This proposed sustainment and production contract is for a basic 10 Year Ordering Period. Foreign Contractors are not allowed to participate in this acquisition. This synopsis is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government, or as a Request for Proposals. A determination by the Government whether or not to compete the instant contract based upon an assessment of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
