The Government is conducting market research via this RFI to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to manufacture the C5 Survival Kit Container (1680011761131UC / Part Number 115053-10). Our acquisition strategy is a two-year requirements type contract with a basic year and one 12 month option. The projected Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) for each year is five (5) each for an estimated total quantity of 10 for the contract. Per FAR 52.215-3, the Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Responses will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. This solicitation is issued for the purpose of conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to manufacture the C-5 survival kit container (National Stock Number 1680011761131UC / Part Number 115053-10) for use by the United States Air Force.
