The US Air Force plans a Firm-Fixed Price, Requirements-type contract to produce and deliver spares for three C-5 aircraft components: the Battery Control Electronics Module, Edge Lighted Panel and Annunciator Dimmer Circuit Card Assembly, and Single Board Computer Circuit Card Assembly. The contract includes one 12-month basic ordering period and four additional 12-month ordering periods, with a required delivery schedule of 36-38 weeks after receipt of a funded delivery order. Performance is in support of the Air Force Sustainment Center, and the C-5 fleet is expected to remain in service through 2045. The government intends to use other than full and open competition, as Symetrics Industries, LLC (Extant Aerospace) is the only known source with the necessary technical data and capabilities. No budget amount is specified.
