Contract Opportunity: Repair of the Gearbox Assembly applicable to the C-5 Aircraft Notice ID: FA8538-24-0001 The United States Air Force (USAF) has a requirement for depot-level repair for C-5 Aircraft mechanical components within Federal Stock Class 1680. Synopsis for this requirement is being issued by AFSC/PZAAB (FA8538) NSNs are as follows: 1680-01-173-0434 NOUN: Gearbox Assembly 1680-01-172-9295 NOUN: Gearbox Assembly This acquisition will be FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The GOVERNMENT OWNS A FULL AND COMPLETE TECHNICAL DATA PACKAGE. Interested parties SHALL be registered in the Joint Certification Program and approved to view Export Control, and SHALL submit evidence of their certification in order to obtain the associated technical data packages. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT INFORMATION PRIOR TO RELEASE OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). More information will be provided via the SAM.gov posting at the release of the RFP. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 01 August 2023.
