Also please see attached Q&A document** Purpose: The purpose of this combined synopsis/solicitation is to procure USAF Standard, Aircraft Boarding Staircase Trucks, servicing military and commercial aircraft on Government installations. The vehicle will be a modified commercial asset, intended to be a non-developmental item. The commercial, chassis-mounted vehicle should be capable of boarding and deplaning passengers from a height of 96 - 228 inches from ground level. The vehicle should be able to quickly approach and retreat from the aircraft in a safe manner. The Staircase Truck shall adhere to requirements within the latest version of Commercial Item Description A-A-59888, to include commercial standards SAE AIR6133 and SAE ARP1247.
