Common Armament Tester for Fighter (CAT-F)
The U.S. Air Force anticipates a Full and Open competition for the design, development, manufacture, and sustainment of the Common Armament Tester-Fighters (CAT-F) for F-16, F-15, and A-10 aircraft. The acquisition will use a two-phase process, first awarding up to two Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for system design, followed by a final downselect to at least one contractor for engineering, manufacturing, and production. The contract's period of performance includes a 1-year basic period for prototype design and four 1-year options, with substantial production quantities specified for the option periods. Prototype delivery is scheduled to begin 12 months after order receipt. The work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, and foreign participation is not permitted.
