The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet requirements for qualification and production of the Control Test Set (Figure 1) for use by United States Air Force (USAF) personnel. The Control Test Set functionally tests, calibrates and trouble shoots, within the airplane, all temperature control systems manufactured by Honeywell International, Inc. for use in Boeing B52, C135, and KC135 airplanes. The Control Test Set is used with adapter kits and cable assemblies furnished with the Universal Tester, PN F233-1. As temperature control systems are added to the airplane, additional adapter kits are furnished with the Control Test Set. Each adapter kit is housed in either a wooden or metal container conforming to MIL-PRF-28800F. This requirement is for acquisition. Our acquisition strategy is a five-year contract (basic plus four option years) and will continue through Fiscal Year (FY) 2024. The projected quantities will be an aggregate total of all systems for a best estimated quantity of eight per year. Data is proprietary to Honeywell.
