The Government has a requirement for a firm-fixed price contract for ten (10) each NSN: 4920-01-296-1454, Adapter, Test, P/N 17G573001-1, which includes one First Article and nine (9) production assets, one First Article Test Plan, one First Article Test Report, one Marking Plan, and a Technical Manual. The C-17 Aircraft utilizes a pitot static system to provide pitot and static air to the Air Data Computer (ADC) as well as the standby Air Speed Indicator and altimeter. The internal pressure lines of the pitot static system are continually subjected to shock and vibration which can cause the lines to crack, creating excessive pressure leakage and incorrect pressure readings. Pitot static system operational checkout at the organizational and depot levels of maintenance requires application of pneumatic test signals to the pitot static probes. A means is required at the organizational and depot levels of maintenance to adapt the pressure-temperature test set to the aircraft pitot static probes. Delivery is FOB Destination with shipments in the continental United States and overseas. This requirement will be solicited as a full-and-open competition, including directly to two known sources of supply [Barfield Inc. (21844) and Rosemount Aerospace, Inc. (59885)], after unsuccessfully soliciting as a 100% SB set-aside. Subcontracting opportunities may be available for responsible sources. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), Excluded Parties List System (EPLS), and other Government databases to determine contractor status before evaluating proposals. Proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria stated in the RFQ. All data for this weapon system is considered EXPORT CONTROLLED. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 27 June 2022.
