Original Posting:The USG may establish a supplemental capability/location to Warner Robins-Air Logistics Complex (WR-ALC) to perform inspections, maintenance, repairs and/or modifications on C-5M aircraft. This supplemental capability may extend to C-5M stateside operating locations via field team(s). The supplemental capability may be required to commence as early as FY21, extending through a timeframe yet to be determined. Contractors will need to demonstrate capability, at a minimum, for the following: launch and recover C-5M aircraft; perform basic post flight and preflight inspections; complete TBD work packages in accordance with applicable technical orders/data/specs and schedule; de-paint/paint aircraft; apply preservation/coatings; accomplish nondestructive inspection (NDI); complete local/contract refurbishment and fabrication activities to include metal/composite/sealant bond; provide secure storage; order parts; receive, inventory and issue parts kits; support kit proof/validation/verification; perform engine runs; and accomplish other necessary operational checks/functional check flight support associated with the inspections/maintenance/repairs/modifications.
