The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain a firm fixed-price (FFP) overhaul contract for a basic 1-year ordering period, plus two (2) annual ordering periods to perform overhaul services on National Stock Number (NSN) 1680-00-183-0834, Part Number (PN) 204-040-016-5 and ensure the transmission is outputted in the latest approved configuration NSN 1615-01-574-3521, PN 212-040-007-103, transmission assembly. The planned period of performance is FY23 - FY25. This component is a Critical Safety Items (CSI) and require that the overhaul must strictly adhere to the specifications outlined in their respective technical orders (T.O. 3R7-2-6-3). The current Repair Method Code/Repair Method Support Code (RMC/RMSC) is 3C. The RMC "3" indicates the component is suitable for repair, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The RMSC "C" indicates this part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. The delivery destination will be Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, 31098. The approximate Solicitation Issue Date will be 27 March 2023.
