Repair of AN/ALQ-131 Power Supplies
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price, five-year requirements IDC to Crane Electronics, Inc. for repair and return of AN/ALQ-131 Electronic Warfare system components for Foreign Military Sales customers. Northrop Grumman, the OEM, owns the proprietary technical data and has designated Crane Electronics as the sole authorized repair source, making Crane the only source with the required intellectual property, test equipment, and engineering expertise. The scope covers Specialized Aircraft Support Services including test, tear-down, evaluation, repair, modernization, and condemnation of critical AN/ALQ-131 ECM pod components across specified NSNs and best-estimate quantities. The contract will use five one-year ordering periods with a total period of performance not exceeding 5.5 years, including the FAR 52.217-8 option to extend services. This is a pre-solicitation notice of intent, not a request for competitive proposals, though responsible sources may submit capability statements showing immediate access to the proprietary OEM data, drawings, and specialized test equipment.
